Q: What size parts can Summit electroplate?

Q: Does Summit sub-contract out any plating projects?
No: At Summit, QUALITY in part we plat is “Priority #1.” The only way to ensure that goal is controlling at out plant both the plating and Quality Assurance process.
Q: What Industries is Summit qualified to electroplate for?
Q: How is Industrial Electroplating different from decorative electroplating.
Q: Does Summit incorporate NDT in electroplating programs?
Yes. NDT, or “Non-destructive testing” refers to the inspection methods we integrate in order to evaluate coating quality, thickness, adhesion, and structural integrity. These methods allow us to capture this data quickly and efficiently without needing to routinely destroy parts to confirm quality consistency. Applying NDT help verifies consistency for meeting performance and tolerance specifications requirements throughout a plating cycle. For more on NDT, see our blog article: Improving Electroplating QA through Non-Destructive Testing.
Q: Does Summit practice green, sustainable Electroplating?
Yes — for over a decade, we have engineered and maintained a WWTS ( Waste Water Treatment Syetem) that treats and recaptures discharge water as it removes contaminants and reclaims precious metals for recycling. This system, along with lean, more efficient plaing protocols, and allwed Summit to lead the way in Sustainable Electroplating to meet increasingly strict environmental regulations.
Q: Is Summit cheaper than other Industrial Electroplaters?
Q: Does Summit offer plant tours?
First, we have developed many proprietary, advantageous processes for electroplating on round wire, loose parts and more. So we need to protect those intellectual properties.
Second, we often sign strict confidentiality agreements with clients to protect intellectual property — so we cannot risk compromising those important agreements.
Third, the Industrial Electroplating environment can pose dangers to those not outfitted for n— and trained in — safe electroplating procedures. So an open plant tour would provide more risk than benefit.
